Amalfi coast driving dreams / Conca dei marini Transfers and Tours

Conca dei marini

Its name CONCA dei MARINI, one of the four smallest municipalities in Italy, derives from the shape of a basin with the addition of Marini due to its geographical position near the sea.

Conca dei Marini is another village on the Amalfi coast that mainly deals with agriculture with its lemon groves, and fishing.  Conca dei Marini develops for about three kilometers along the coast with its white houses built on two levels, the first dedicated to deposits for agricultural equipment and fishing nets and the second level used as a home.

In Conca dei Marini there is the Convent of Santa Rosa, an ancient monastery built in 1681, built sheer above the sea, and at the beginning of the 18th century the classic Neapolitan sfogliatella was invented.

The Monastery of Santa Rosa today has become one of the luxury hotels on the Amalfi coast, in addition to the convent one of the highlights of the Conca dei Marini is the Grotta dello Smeraldo, which is a cavity in the sea 30 meters deep and where the water thanks to the rays of sun that penetrate inside the cave, the color of the sea becomes Green.

In Conca dei Marini you can see one of the ancient towers built on the headlands of rocks and were used to sight the invasions of the Arab pirates. The Saracen Tower.
