Minori
Minori, is today one of the destinations of the Amalfi Coast, for its natural landscapes, the limpid sea, the tasty pastry products.
Enclosed between the rock and the symphony of the sea, we find Minori, a small village on the Amalfi Coast, one of the Roman aristocracy, in fact Minori found a Roman Villa dating back to the first century A.D. Minori, is today one of the destinations of the Amalfi Coast, for its natural landscapes, the limpid sea, the tasty pastry products. Minori borders with, Maiori and Ravello. The urban area of Minori was built only after the discovery of the relics of SANTA TROFIMENA in the sixth century. In ancient times the various villages of the Amalfi Coast, were connected to each other mainly by sea, but there were long paths and steep steps, still viable today as the path that goes from Minori to Torello fraction of Ravello. Some archaeological research leads us to know that: Minori is the oldest inhabited site of the Amalfi Coast, thanks to the discovery of the Villa Romana, also covered by volcanic material erupted by Vesuvius. Today Minori is also known for its lemons, introduced in the Amalfi Coast between the tenth and the eleventh century, from the commercial trades that took place with the Orient.
