In the city of Bari in Puglia there is POLIGNANO a MARE with its sea caves and the historical center of Roman denomination. Polignano a Mare was born on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Adriatic Sea and is about 33 kilometers from Bari. The economy takes place around tourism and agriculture. Since 2008 Polignano a Mare is one of the European coastal resorts for the quality and services offered for bathing, cleaning beaches and tourist landings, in this regard the Blue Flag has been recognized. Like all the south of Bari also Polignano a Mare has a very ancient history dating back to the Neolithic period, various archaeological studies done in the city of Polignano a Mare, lead to the discovery of a huge sepulcher containing the skeleton of a warrior with the remains of armor, vases and ancient objects, later on exhibited at the Royal Museum of Capodimonte. One of the many terracotta vases, the tallest and the most beautiful, depicted on it an assembly of deities, is still preserved today at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
