The municipality of Tramonti is divided into thirteen fractions and is bordering the Agro Nocerino Sarnese and Maiori towns of the Amalfi Coast: Pucara, Novella, Gete, Ponte, Campinola, Corsano, Cesarano, Pietre, Capitignano, Figline, Paterno Sant’Arcangelo, Paterno Sant’Elia, Polvica.
Tramonti is a town in the Campania region that rises on the Lattari Mountains of the Amalfi Coast, the highest Mount of Tramonti is Mount Cerreto which is located at 1316 meters above sea level. The municipality of Tramonti is divided into thirteen fractions and is bordering the Agro Nocerino Sarnese and Maiori towns of the Amalfi Coast. The name Tramonti derives from the configuration of the thirteen fractions: Terra Tra i Monti, in ancient times (INTRA MONTES UBERTAS). Among the thirteen fractions found in Tramonti, there is Pucara where in the ancient Conservatory the liqueur was born (CONCERTO). A mix of herbs with added barley and coffee. Tramonti is also rich in scenic and historical trails, such as the path that reaches the hamlet of Paterno Sant Elia where is the Castle of Montaldo and the chapel of Santa Caterina. Being the land of Tramonti rich in ash and volcanic lapilli, the cultivation is very extensive, in particular emerges the production of wine, thanks also to vines and secular vineyards. In fact still today in the old vineyards are born very appreciated wines, locally, throughout Italy. But above all, thanks to some local families that in recent decades have renovated old cellars left by grandparents and great-grandparents, today even the international territories know the wines of Tramonti as: (TINTORE and PIEDIROSSO) centenarian vines of the Amalfi Coast grown on the terraces of Tramonti. In addition this country of the Lattari Mountains is known in the national and international territory for the production of Mozzarella, Ricotta and Caciocavallo of cow. In Tramonti you can spend a day immersed in the green and you can do various tastings,such us: Wines and Mozzarella.
