Amalfi Ravello and Pompeii
This tour is dedicated to the visit of two villages of the Amalfi Coast and an archaeological site Pompeii.
Starting from Naples, take the motorway in the direction of Castellammare di Stabia, where we begin to climb up on top of the Mountain Agerola that it also part of the Lattari mountains, famous for mozzarella and provolone del monaco. From Agerola we shall face immediately on the Amalfi Coast, through Furore, Pogerola and Tovere. After a series of hairpin bends, we can admire one of the most well-known hotels on the Amalfi coast, overlooking the sea, The Santa Rosa monastery.
Soon after, we arrive to Amalfi, from which comes the name of the Amalfi coast, the town of Amalfi is the largest compared to other seaside villages on the coast, home to many tourists, attracted by the charm of the main square with its cathedral, the color the sea and its beaches. We stop for the right time in this city, to visit.
Later, we continue our visit by car, passing through Atrani, considered the smallest town of Italy, we begin to climb up to Ravello, the city of music, in fact every summer begins ravello festival, it is held in a Villa Rufolo, in a terrace overlooking the sea. Here we visit the square, the narrow streets with its artisan ceramics.
Over the visit of Ravello, we’re going to Pompeii, where you’ll have two hours at your disposal to visit the archaeological excavations, finally after Pompeii our day tour will end in your location.
About Amalfi
Amalfi was, from the ninth century, the first (in chronological order) among the maritime republics, he rivaled Pisa, Venice and Genoa for control of the Mediterranean Sea.
