Paestum and Mozzarella pharm

This tour is dedicated to the history of Greek mythology and to discover the flavors of Campania such as the famous buffalo mozzarella.

Paestum was Founded by the Greeks arround the 600  it was initially called Poseidon, Poseidon, or Neptune, god of the sea, which the city had been dedicated.

Between 400 and 273 later it was occupied by the Italic population of Lucan. In 273 he became a Roman colony under the name of Paestum. The Archaeological Area of Paestum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, is contained as monumental stone walls pentagonal perimeter interspersed here and there with 24 watchtowers well preserved,

Let’s start from our location, for the visit of this archaeological site, but before we go to, in one of the old local company where it is made daily production of various types of cheese from the  buffaloes milk, like, Mozzarella, Ricotta, Cheese, you can taste the ice cream, and yogurt. You will see:

• how the locals people work the milk that becomes cheese,
• take a guided tour to the dairy,
• you will see and you will touch the buffalo, and the various steps, from when they are born, and they start to produce milk.

After we will visit the archaeological excavations, your driver will stop in a parking  near the main entrance, to  wait for you. It will show you where to buy tickets for the entrance, and you will begin the route for the visit of the excavations.

When you’re done with your visit, you will return in the dairy where you can have lunch and taste a local products, typical dishes made with their products, from cheese to vegetables. Sometimes, happened to see how the buffaloes are milked, this depends from the time we have at our disposal in the our Day Tour.

At the end we will return back to your location
